While visiting Nashville I visited the state capital and found a wonderful place of granite steps and stone columns and capitals that have been in existence for decades. So much history is represented here. From the state’s founding to present day it’s very appropriate that the seat of government for this beautiful state be located on top of a hill with amazing views all around. I hope to return some day and tour the inside of this beautiful place.

It's my goal to visit all 50 capitols plus the 5 territories. It was a very nice Capitol good marble work with traditional domed top.

This was pretty cool! We wandered around the grounds and building before we realized we could go in and check it out. They offer free tours but we had just missed one, so we walked around ourselves. The building is gorgeous and it was great to take in some history. The guard at the entrance was super nice and helpful.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Nashville. The Greek revival style fits in well with the surrounding buildings. 11/26/2023

I did not go into the Capitol. My bucket list item was to take a picture of it so I did. I didn't have a hard time finding a place to park however the roads in downtown Nashville are awfully small for a person driving an SUV

The State Capitol was a great experience for the whole family! Restaurants and bathrooms all walkable. It’s a great destination for a walk.

Greatly appriciated possibility to visit . Not only but free visits, no charge. Beautifully designed, great materials, view on city. Only remark....not nice see the coke machine and garbage piles in entry if representatives hall......could be hidden behind....
